What does Sun Moon Lake mean in Chinese?

Sun Moon Lake,aka日月潭rì-yuè-tán, is located in the west-mid of Taiwan, and it is in the city named, 南投nán-tóu. It is one of the must-visit tourist attractions in Taiwan. 

So, what does 日月潭rì-yuè-tán  mean?

日 rì sounds like REAL without L, meaning sun🌅.

月 yuè means moon🌙.

潭 tán means lake.

🙌兩(liǎng）and 二(èr）both means number TWO in English. This is how you use them....

兩(liǎng）

✊兩小時 liǎng xiǎoshí  (two hours)
